“Unlike past fallen elected officials in Broward, Stephanie Kraft, the suspended School Board member, has not gone quietly into political oblivion.
Kraft, arrested along with her husband earlier this month in a state corruption probe, has not given interviews. But she has been busy on Twitter and e-mail.
The morning after she was released from jail on bond, Kraft tweeted about a TV news crew filming the mailbox outside her house. `Are they that desperate for news?’
Since then, she has posted updates about mailers from the Broward Teachers Union, voting Yes on Amendment 8 and a car-wash fundraiser to benefit a high school girls’ soccer team.
And this week, the day before she and her husband pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges, she sent out a revised news release about upcoming high-school performances of The Sound of Music. `This would be a great story!!’ she wrote.”
